Morons on Music

I'm not sure what's most offensive about the Yated article undressed in the latest Pravda post.

Is it the fact that the Yated's primary source is The Southerner, a discredited, rascist organ of the Ku Klax Klan, or is it the fact that the Yated editors are laboring under the illusion that "simple peasent music" and American rock and roll belong to different categories.

They are wrong. (Surprise.)

Though the know-nothings who write the Yated are too stupid to see it, "simple peasent music" was also written to "arouse the yetzer hora." It was played at fairs, and dances, and celebrations that were bawdy, erotic and perverse.

Or did the idiots behind that rag really imagine that ignorant, illiterate serfs used music to help them meditate on the meaning of life?
